Safe mode: Samsung Galaxy Note II (T889)

Safe mode allows you to turn on the device with third-party apps disabled. Then you can easily remove all apps that may be causing a conflict or software problem.

To turn on safe mode and use it to fix app problems, follow these steps:

Turn on safe mode

1. Turn the device off.
2. Press and hold the Power key.
3. When 'GALAXY Note II' appears on the screen, release the Power key. Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold theVolume down key.
4. Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
5. 'Safe mode' will display in the bottom left corner of the screen. Release the Volume down key when you see 'Safe Mode.'
   

Uninstall third party applications

1. Turn on Safe Mode.
2. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
3. Tap Settings.
4. Tab the More tab.
5. Tap Application manager.
6. If necessary, swipe right to the Downloadedscreen.
7. Tap the desired application.
8. Tap Uninstall and then tap OK.

Turn off safe mode

To turn off safe mode, follow these steps:

1. Press and hold the Power key.
2. Tap Restart.
